I have failed at almost everything for the last year.
Here’s how:
I lost multiple businesses, had failed product launches, old income streams died out by 80 to 90%.
I took chances.
Chances I would have regretted if I hadn’t taken them.
Just didn’t work.
It has not been fun, and it is not easy to admit.
Despite this, it absolutely pales in comparison to what most people in the world are going through at this time in their lives. I just got home from walking Hulk, and to see the look on some of the people’s faces (my dog friends) who have their own businesses here, and are having to close down….well, it’s painful to see. Especially if you live in a country where not a lot of money to be made to begin with.
It’s horrifying, and yet, what can you do?
My girl herself has been forced to take all her remaining vacation days (two weeks worth), then goes on a forced two week unpaid leave after that. Her mother is on unpaid leave indefinitely. One of her co-workers had an entire month saved up. The entire country is shutting down as of today, everything but grocery stores and pharmacies will be shut down. Even the metro is closing, which means lots and lots of people won’t be able to get into work anyway.
As much as I’ve tried not to write about coronavirus in these emails in the last few days, how can you not?
It’s all you can see everywhere you go.
My best advice is to at the very minimum, give yourself a set period of time every day to turn off your device and don’t do anything on the internet. I turned mine off for the last 3 hours before bed last night, and immersed myself in Mark Zolo’s (Naughty Nomad) new book:
Which was the perfect read for the night.
Anyways, I had planned a special sale on a specific product in the coming days, but in light of everything going on, I’m restructuring it to include a variety of products. If you have the spare time, and want to advance yourself in some of the things I teach, now is the time to do so. I won’t lie though, I’ve struggled with a tactful way to do this, because I also do feel right now is the worst time to be anything but careful with your money.
Anyways, keep an eye on your inbox starting Thursday and you’ll see what’s up.
In the meantime, the 5 day trial for “Actually Abroad” is still alive and kicking for now.
