Reader G (who is a G, too) wrote back to yesterday’s email and commented about building skills, which is something everyone should be doing:
His comment:
“Very spot on my friend. Once you have marketable skills, you can always use them to do something else.”
Let’s expand on this in terms of marketing (namely, marketing and Service Business Accelerator).
If you were to take this course, by the end of it, I would expect you to be reasonably proficient in:
– LeadGen/outreach
– Cold emails/DMs
– Content writing
– Copywriting
– General marketing
– Fulfillment
– Appointment setting
– Hiring/managing a team
That’s quite a skillset.
Not to mention all the other little things you’d pick up along the way.
You see, my little troubles, some skills are evergreen.
Tech skills, writing, sales.
They’re all skills you can take with you, wherever you go.
You can take many of those skills (especially writing and sales) into almost any industry. And, to boot, you’ll be very sought over in almost any industry with those skills.
As much as people want to complain about the “recession” and jobs being cut, look at it this way…
The top sales guy is never cut.
Sure, #7 might be.
#5 maybe.
But #1-#3 — the people actually generating business for a company. They’re always safe. A great salesperson will never ever lose their job (or if they do, they’re the last).
Anyways.
My daily emails will teach you this and many more things.
