Saw this tweet the other day:
You’re 1 “fuck it” away from your dream life.

What people don’t realize about this:
If you say “fuck it” and fail – you’re also (likely) only 1 soft landing away right back to where you were.
Quit your job and your first biz failed? SO WHAT?
Get a new job. Recoup a bit. Try again.
Not the end of the world. Truly not.
In fact, that’s exactly what I did. I had $20k or so in the bank, and I quit my engineering job and decided to go and be a “blogger”. I did this with relentless vision. There was just no way I wasn’t going to make it. And sure, I’ve done a lot of things since then — but I always knew I could go back to the career I had if it came to it.
Nowadays I probably couldn’t as I’ve been out of the industry for so long and my tech chops aren’t what they used to be.
But guess what?
I could get a job in the eCommerce space (since I built an olive oil company).
I could go work in the recruiting industry (since I built the premium talent agency based out of Ukraine).
I could get a marketing job (obvious, you read these emails).
I could get a management job.
All sorts of things.
You can always pivot in life.
It’s never too late, but the longer you wait the more painful it will undoubtedly be.
But Dakota hit the nail on the head, you really are only one moment of courage away from being able to achieve your dream life.
In fact, picture what it is.
Picture what you would do if a pesky office job wasn’t a requirement.
Imagine being able to live where you want, have the schedule you set, and overall not feel beholden to a cubicle and a chair.
How would that feel?
Pretty good, am I right?
So tell me then…
Is summoning courage for one moment and making that leap worth it?
Does it sound so hard now?
It shouldn’t.
Especially when you can even build the income stream to get said life on the side, while still working and having the stability of your 9-5.
