If there’s one mantra I’ve always lived by in the business world (and you should too), it’s this:
Make it a normal thing to fire clients and customers who are cheap.
The energy they take is time that you can never get back.
Better yet…
Filter them hard, and don’t even let these people in the door to begin with. Don’t do business with them. Actively encourage them NOT to buy from you.
The result?
It will be that you end up with MORE of the people you DO want in your life and business.
More:
You can apply this general mantra to other aspects of life.
i.e.
Don’t keep chasing girls who have no time for you, focus on the ones who are responsive.
Don’t give time and energy to friends who don’t reciprocate, focus on the friends who are reliable, punctual, and where the relationship feels fair and square.
Don’t fret about tipping an extra buck or two, does the difference between 20% and 22% really matter? Every time you act like a cheapskate the universe will send you another cheapskate to haunt you.
The message is clear:
Act like what you want to have come into your life.
Anyways, in the business world, this is especially true. If you are a tightwad in your day to day life, you should not be surprised when you are dealing with tightwads in the business world.
Hence, if you are a business owner, and looking to build and scale a team around you.
You owe it to yourself to get the best.
There’s a reason why I say with HireUA that we place “premium talent”.
Because we are not UpWork, we are not Fiverr, and if you want those prices…by all means, take your stab and go haunt the grounds of those websites.
If, on the other hand, you do not balk at investing heavily into your business (and really, why would you cheap out on your business, it’s your baby and all), and are looking to scale out a team of winners.
